THE BOOK Vol. 1 is a 1-hour and 16-minute instrumental beat tape built like a movie — 20 original Plan-P boom bap beats stitched together with kung fu movie dialogue and skits, so the whole thing plays out like you're watching an old-school martial arts flick with a soundtrack running underneath it.
I grew up on Wu-Tang and RZA production, and it shaped the way I hear drums, samples, and space in a beat — dusty loops, hard-hitting boom bap drums, gritty textures, that raw 90s hip hop feel. This isn't a tribute or a copy, it's just where my sound naturally landed after years of that influence. If you love RZA type beats, Wu-Tang instrumentals, or golden era hip hop production, this one's for you.
The story woven through the skits:
Underneath the beats runs the tale of a corrupt ruler who turns two best friends — one from a shadowboxing school, one from a sword-fighting school — against each other, hoping to steal both their skills for himself. Every beat drops right as the story escalates, so it plays less like a beat tape and more like an audio movie. No spoilers here — press play and let it unfold.
